Faye and Sams’ winter wedding took place last February at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. It was the first time I had covered a wedding at the venue and I was super impressed! The ceremony room was light and bright and we were allowed access to another large room decorated with fabric swags and chandeliers, for the family group shots, which saved us from braving the cold. As the light faded we managed a few couple shots in the entrance, complete with fairy lights. Here are a few from the day.

On the morning of the big day, back in October, I met Kimberley along with her Bridesmaids just as they were getting ready at home. Bridal prep is always one of my favourite times –  the anticipation and nerves as everyone gets ready to leave for the ceremony, are exciting to capture. After an emotional ceremony, the more formal group shots and couple shots, we then covered the rest of their day in an unobtrusive, documentary style. We were so lucky with the weather, especially for the time of the year, it managed to stay bright for most of the day, it was just incredibly windy up on the tops! This didn’t stop Kimberley & Matthew wanting to have some outdoor shots taken. I’m so pleased they braved the cold and wind as the surrounding views were stunning.

Back in September Mark and I travelled over to Harrogate to capture Laura & Martin’s wedding day. The day began with a ‘first look’ at Valley Gardens: the couple had decided to meet before the ceremony, and this was a perfect opportunity to capture the moment within the surroundings of the park. Shortly after, we headed for the Registry Office to cover the ceremony, making a few stops along the way to take shots of Laura and Martin using Harrogate as a backdrop – they both loved the buildings and the cobbled streets so wanted to make this a feature within their images. Their reception was held at The Yorkshire Hotel, in a room on the top floor with fantastic views. Here are a selection of photographs from their intimate wedding day.

Ann & Neil were married in February, at the gorgeous Holdsworth House in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

We met Ann early that morning for bridal prep shots, with her close family at the hotel including her fabulous Jimmy Choo’s! After a personal ceremony we gathered everyone for a few family shots within the grounds as the weather was particularly good for February, closely followed by a few informal couple shots. Just before the couple sat down with their close family and friends for their wedding breakfast, we captured the speeches, two of which were from Ann’s & Neil’s sons. We covered the day right up until their first dance, with music provided by the Psychoslinky’s.
