I was invited back to capture a new arrival of a family I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many times over the last few years. Little ones nursery was absolutely gorgeous so we started the shoot there, some in Mums arms and in the cot. I always make time for outfit changes, cuddles and feeds in between the photos too and I encourage parents to include any soft toys, blankets and personal items.

I’ve been super busy at the moment with newborn photo shoots, so thanks again for the continued support. I was invited to capture some relaxed moments to document Nico’s arrival. Sessions take place around the home and nursery and can include siblings too.

Cake smash photo shoots are always super popular and a great way to celebrate a first or second birthday. I can work around any theme or colour scheme, all you need to provide is a cake and an outfit. I have a selection of bunting options a number 1 and a cake stand, but you’re welcome to include your own props too – wooden or large spoons look great as do small balloons, pom poms and cake toppers.

Just getting around to sharing some of my recent shoots including this super cute, jungle themed first birthday cake smash. I love the rag-bunting with the eucalyptus leaves – it’s super effective! Little ones parents made a vibrant green cake to complement the jungle theme too, along with an animal print romper.

One of the favourite parts of my job is being invited back to photograph a family and their new arrival. At the end of last year I was welcomed back to capture newborn Eddie. I always try to keep sessions natural with a few shots with parents and siblings, some in the nursery and a few snuggled up shots too.

I’m really enjoying getting back into the newborn lifestyle sessions again. I find little ones are so much more relaxed in their own environments and everything they need is already at hand. Having the shoot at your home also makes the images more personal as I often capture interior shots of the nursery too.

The cake smash photography sessions are as popular as ever and are a great way of celebrating little ones first birthday. I start the shoot with time for a few portraits before setting up for the smash. Siblings are welcome to join in too if they wish. All you need to provide is a cake, an outfit and any props – you’re welcome to use my cake stand and bunting options. After the shoot the backdrop is cut off and popped into the recycling so it’s not as messy as you’d think.

Shoots cost just £20 for the session in the Halifax area, then print deals range from £50 to £150 and are pinned to the top of the page over on Facebook.
